Australian Merino is an entirely natural fibre, evolved over a million years by the Merino sheep to create the most effective all-weather protection against the elements known to man. No man-made fibre has come close to replicating Merino’s naturally occurring combination of attributes.

Sustainable

Merino is a sustainable resource. Production of Australian Merino wool is a process that can be maintained at a certain level indefinitely. Every year a new fleece grows on the sheep's back, and may be removed without harm to the animal.

Biodegradable

Although Merino is extraordinarily durable; with a single fibre able to be bent twenty thousand times before breaking, in time Merino will degrade and return to its component elements. Most synthetics, on the other hand, are like the ubiquitous plastic shopping bag. Once made, their component ingredients are extremely slow to degrade.

Environmentally responsible

In comparison to other textile fibres, Australian Merino wool is produced with low use of harmful chemicals and reduced water pollution throughout the product supply chain. Australian Merino wool is processed with very little environmental impact
